Vince Maloy was Southern Maryland’s original rockabilly cat. Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, Vince released his first record “Flying Love” in 1957. It is believed this was the first rock and roll record released from Southern Maryland.
Over the next decade, Vince released a total of six records. Vince appeared on the Milt Grant Show over 40 times, had live radio shows, toured Las Vegas, Puerto Rico and The Bahamas.
Around 1970, Vince left the music business for a career in law enforcement. His rockabilly sides were sought after overseas, long after he left the music business.
After retiring from law enforcement, Vince knocked the dust off his old guitar and got back into the studio. Read about the details here.
